(Jody Gray): the House of Flanders, founded by Baldwin I ‘Iron Arm’ in 863 being appointed, Margrave of Flanders, by Charles the Bald, King of West Francia (Carolingian Dynasty) who created the title and powerful position for his “son-in-law”. Our 27th GGF, Walter aka Seier ‘the Fleming’ descended from the House of Flanders; he is the progenitor of the de Wahull’s in England and Scotland; and of Richard Woodhull our immigrant ancestor.
